Obverse description The obverse is printed in black and purple on a light ground, with large numeral '25' vignettes at left and right margins framed by fine guilloche borders. A central oval medallion contains an intaglio portrait of King George V and Queen Mary in full regalia, wearing imperial crowns, set within an ornate engraved frame. The dates '1910–1935' appear above the issuer title, commemorating the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty's reign, with the date '5 MAI 1935' and the place 'OTTAWA' inscribed in the lower field alongside two facsimile signatures.
