The central motif depicts the infant Jesus lying in a manger filled with straw, attended by the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph to the left, who kneels in reverence holding a staff. To the right, an ox and a donkey are shown at the manger. A radiant Star of Bethlehem dominates the upper field, its rays cascading diagonally downward toward the holy scene. The engraver's name TERUGGI is inscribed in the lower right exergual area.
