The medallion is set within a broad outer border decorated with evenly spaced circular florets. A bold Arabic calligraphic inscription arcs around the central medallion, flanked by additional decorative elements. Additional information

Kuwait's Liberation Day commemoratives have been issued periodically since the Gulf War's end in 1991, marking the February 26th expulsion of Iraqi forces following Operation Desert Storm. The 1990–91 occupation lasted seven months, during which the Central Bank's own reserves and records were looted — Iraqi forces removed an estimated $1 billion in Kuwaiti currency and bullion.

KM#300 belongs to a run of large-format silver issues produced in the mid-2000s as oil revenues funded an expanding commemorative program. Relatively low mintages and the 72.5g silver content keep secondary market pressure consistent on these pieces.
