| 裏面の説明 | A detailed, finely engraved view of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem occupies the central field, depicted from a slight three-quarter perspective with the octagonal base, decorative tilework, arched portico, drum, and gilded dome rendered with architectural precision. The foreground features the paved esplanade of the Temple Mount with a geometric diamond-pattern border framing the lower portion of the design. The curved inscription 'DOME OF THE ROCK · JERUSALEM' arcs below the monument. Along the upper periphery, within a beaded border, the legend 'THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN' curves in Latin letters. The lower exergue bears the denomination 'TWENTYFIVE · 25 · DINARS' with the Gregorian year '1969' to the right. |

Issued to mark Pope Paul VI's visit to Jordan in January 1964 — the first papal visit to the Holy Land in modern history — this piece was struck five years after the event itself, a delay that reflects the extended planning cycle common to Jordanian commemorative gold of the period. Paul VI's itinerary included a meeting with Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras I in Jerusalem, the first encounter between a Roman pope and a Constantinople patriarch in over five centuries.
