| Popis rubu | Central device depicts the Lion and Sun emblem of Iran: a passant lion in profile facing right, holding an upright sword in its right forepaw, set against a radiant rising sun. The composition is flanked by two laurel and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon, forming a wreath open at the top. The Pahlavi imperial crown surmounts the entire design above the lion. The denomination legend 'بیست و پنج دینار' (Twenty-five Dinars) is inscribed in Arabic script on a tablet below the lion, within the wreath. A beaded inner border encircles the entire reverse design. |

Reza Shah's coinage reform of 1931 was part of a broader modernization drive that overhauled Iran's currency system, replacing the older qiran-based denominations with a decimal structure anchored to the rial. The 25 dīnār represented one quarter of a rial — a tiny fractional piece in a new monetary architecture that Reza Shah used, alongside railroad construction and dress code legislation, to signal Iran's break from Qajar-era governance.
KM#1125 saw limited issue years, and the series was relatively short-lived before denominations were adjusted again in the late 1930s.
