SPECIMEN
Reverse description Printed entirely in dark blue, the reverse is dominated by a large bold guilloche underprint carrying the denomination 'VEINTICINCO COLONES' across the centre, with the Costa Rican national coat of arms set within a central medallion. Ornate lathe-work panels fill all four corners, each bearing the numeral '25', while two rectangular text cartouches at left and right carry the inscriptions regarding acceptance at public revenue offices and payment of taxes. A horizontal text panel along the lower centre states the redemption clause referencing the Banco de Costa Rica, with the printer's imprint visible at the very bottom.
