Informazioni aggiuntive	Struck to commemorate the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank, held in El Salvador in 1977. The IADB had been founded in 1959 as the first regional multilateral development bank in the world, and member nations routinely issued commemorative coinage to mark hosting the governors' meeting — a practice that produced a wave of nearly identical circumstances across Latin American mints during the 1970s. El Salvador contracted the striking to the Casa de Moneda de México. Mintage was low and distribution largely ceremonial.
