Aanvullende informatie

The magnetic variety of this issue reflects Bhutan's mid-production shift to steel-core planchets, a cost-cutting measure adopted by numerous small nations in the late 1970s as aluminium bronze prices climbed. The plating on these pieces is notoriously thin, and circulated examples frequently show exposed steel at the high points — not from strike weakness, but from plating loss during use.
