| 正面描述 | The full national coat of arms of Barbados is depicted centrally in the field, featuring a shield charged with two red pride-of-barbados flowers and a bearded fig tree, supported on the dexter by a dolphin and on the sinister by a pelican, surmounted by a helmet and crossed tridents as crest. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto. The legend BARBADOS arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination TWENTY FIVE CENTS curves along the lower border, both separated by raised dots. |

Blackbeard — Edward Teach by most accounts, though contemporary records spell the name inconsistently — operated the Queen Anne's Revenge for less than a year before she ran aground off Beaufort Inlet, North Carolina in June 1718, likely deliberately scuttled to reduce the size of his fleet and shed crewmen. The wreck was located in 1996 and has been under active archaeological excavation since, recovering cannons, anchors, and navigational instruments that informed a wave of licensed commemorative issues of which this is one.
