| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, featuring a shield divided by a diagonal cross with three ships upon the sea, flanked by a scarlet ibis as the dexter supporter and a cocrico as the sinister supporter, both standing on a grassy mound above stylised waves. A helmet and wreath surmount the shield, topped by a palm tree, with a wheel at its base. A scroll in the lower field bears the national motto 'TOGETHER WE ASPIRE TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE' in two parts. The circular legend 'REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO' arcs around the upper periphery, and the date appears in the exergue below the shield. |
