备注

Herzogenbusch — known to its Dutch-speaking population as Kamp Vught — was the only SS-administered concentration camp built and operated on Dutch soil. This 25-cent scrip was part of the internal camp currency system imposed there from 1943, a mechanism used across the Nazi camp network to create the administrative fiction of a wage economy while extracting inmate labor without meaningful compensation.

The scrip had no value outside the wire and could only be exchanged at the camp canteen for a narrow range of permitted goods. Survival rates at Vught were low; relatively few inmates lived to carry anything out.
