| Description de l’avers | The full Coat of Arms of Guyana occupies the central field, featuring a shield with wavy horizontal lines and a Canje Pheasant, supported on the dexter by a jaguar and on the sinister by a second jaguar, both rampant. Above the shield is a helmet surmounted by an Amerindian headdress. A scroll at the base of the arms bears the national motto ONE PEOPLE ONE NATION ONE DESTINY. The legend OUR PEOPLE - OUR MOST PRECIOUS ASSET curves along the upper periphery, while the issuer name BANK OF GUYANA appears below the arms and the date, flanked by two raised dots, is inscribed in the lower exergue. |
