| Reverse description | A bold three-quarter facing bust of a caribou (woodland reindeer) with prominent antlers occupies the center of the field, the animal's head turned to the left. The denomination 25 CENTS is inscribed in two lines within the upper field between the antlers, while the country name CANADA arcs along the upper periphery and the date 1937 appears vertically along the right side, all enclosed within a beaded border. The design, engraved by Emanuel Otto Hahn, draws inspiration from a trophy head photographed at the Royal Ontario Museum and conveys a strong, naturalistic character emblematic of Canadian wildlife coinage of the era. |
