| Reverse description | The denomination '25 CENTS' is prominently displayed in the centre of the field, framed within an elaborate symmetrical scrollwork cartouche designed by George Kruger Gray. The issuer name 'SEYCHELLES' arches along the upper periphery, while the date appears below the cartouche at the bottom of the field. A fine denticular border encircles the entire design. |

| Additional information |
The Seychelles entered World War II as a British Crown Colony of negligible strategic importance — until the fall of Singapore in 1942 made the Indian Ocean a contested zone and supply chains to remote island dependencies became genuinely uncertain. Coinage for the Seychelles during this period was struck at the Royal Mint under wartime resource constraints, which explains the debased .500 silver composition rather than the sterling standard used in earlier colonial issues.
KM#2 covers the entire 1939–1944 span; individual date scarcity varies considerably, with wartime years typically showing lower confirmed mintages.
