Obverse description Left-facing crowned effigy of King George V, depicted in robes with decorations, engraved in the style of Edgar Bertram MacKennal. The king wears an imperial state crown with arched top and jewelled band. A beaded border frames the design. The circular legend reads GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA., interrupted by a small mint mark dot at the base of the field.
