| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse, designed by Matthew Bowen, features a central motif of two interlocking wedding bands rendered in polished relief, symbolising matrimonial union and commemorating the wedding theme of the issue. The rings overlap elegantly in the centre of the field, with the engraver's initials MB visible to the right of the design. The denomination 25 CENTS arcs along the upper portion of the legend, while CANADA 2013 curves along the lower arc, all enclosed within a plain border. |

Issued to mark the diamond wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 2013, this circulating commemorative was part of the Royal Canadian Mint's increasingly frequent practice of using the standard quarter format for anniversary and holiday issues — a program that had expanded considerably since the 1999 Millennium quarters. Philip and Elizabeth married on 20 November 1947 at Westminster Abbey, making 2013 their 66th anniversary, not the more commonly celebrated diamond at 60 years.
