(Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God)
Reverse description The reverse displays a vivid coloured vignette at centre featuring a Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) in full bloom, its distinctive raised orange-brown cone surrounded by drooping pink petals and green foliage, upon which an Eastern Tailed Blue butterfly (Cupido comyntas) rests with wings spread, rendered in rich blue tones with white margins. The naturalistic design is set within a recessed circular panel against a finely milled field. The inscription CANADA arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 25 CENTS and date 2013 are inscribed in two lines along the lower rim. The artist's initials MO appear in small letters within the coloured design at lower left.
