| Reverse description | The reverse presents a finely detailed portrait of Canadian heroine Laura Secord facing right, rendered in frosted relief against a stippled field. To the left, a stylized Canadian Maple Leaf flag bears the inscription 1812, commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812. The design is attributed to engraver Susan Taylor and commemorates Secord's celebrated wartime journey.
