Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, faces right, depicted at approximately 64 years of age and wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, a necklace, and drop earrings. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the diadem and jewellery. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA, with the denomination 25 CENTS positioned at the base of the field.
