Reverse description The classic Canadian caribou design, first introduced by Emanuel Hahn in 1937, dominates the reverse field. A bold, right-facing bust of a woodland caribou with large, sweeping antlers is depicted in high relief against the mirror-polished proof field. The legend CANADA arcs along the left periphery within a beaded border, while the denomination 25 cents appears in two lines at the upper right of the design.
