Beschrijving keerzijde A colourized central design depicting a pair of Cinnamon Teal ducks resting in calm water amid aquatic vegetation; the male, with its distinctive rich chestnut-brown plumage and iridescent wing markings, stands prominently in the foreground to the right, while the mottled brown female floats in the background to the left. A white water lily in full bloom, with its broad green lily pad, occupies the lower foreground, adding naturalistic detail to the scene. The design is set within a raised inner border separating the colourized field from the uncoloured legend area. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper rim, with the denomination 25 CENTS and date 2015 along the lower rim. The designer's initials DM appear in the lower right of the colourized vignette.

Aanvullende informatie

Part of the RCM's ongoing coloured wildlife quarter program, which has produced dozens of issues annually since the early 2000s and attracted heavy criticism from traditional numismatists who argue the series dilutes the collectible market. The Cinnamon Teal is a western species rarely seen east of the Rockies, making it an unusual choice for a Canadian issue — its range barely extends into British Columbia's southernmost wetlands.
