Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by engraver Susan Taylor depicts the monarch as a mature sovereign, bareheaded and facing right, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The portrait presents the Queen at approximately 77 years of age with refined sculptural detail in the facial features and jewellery. The legend arcs around the upper periphery and the field is unadorned, consistent with the restrained neoclassical style adopted for this portrait series.
