25 Cents - Elizabeth II

Belize gained independence from Britain in 1981, but this coinage series predates that event — the Central Bank began issuing in 1974 under the name British Honduras before the transition to Belize was complete. The series ran essentially unchanged for nearly five decades, making it one of the longer-running circulating coinage programs in the Caribbean region to retain the same monarch's effigy across successive portrait updates.

Four distinct Machin/Arnold/IRB obverse portrait phases appear across the full date run, tracking the standard Royal Mint effigy revisions of 1985 and 1998.
