Obverse description The national coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield displaying two hummingbirds and a sailing ship, surmounted by a helmet and a palm tree crest. Two scarlet ibises serve as supporters flanking the shield, standing upon a grassy mount. A scroll below bears the national motto in two parts. The legend TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO arcs along the upper periphery, while the date appears at the bottom of the field; on Franklin Mint issues, the FM mintmark is present just above the date.
