| Reverse description | The reverse features the iconic left-facing bust of a caribou, a design based on Emanuel Hahn's classic motif first introduced in 1936, rendered with fine engraved detail on the neck and chest. The animal's large, branching antlers dominate the upper field, with the denomination 25 CENTS inscribed in two lines within the antlers. The legend CANADA arcs along the left periphery and the date appears along the right, both in upright Latin capitals. The engraver's initial H appears below the caribou's neck near the lower rim, and a beaded border encircles the design. |
