| 正面铭文 | BELIZE SUB UMBRA FLOREO 1980 FM (Translation: I flourish in the shade.) |
| 背面描述 | A Blue-crowned Motmot (Momotus momota), Belize's national bird, is portrayed in left-facing profile perched on a branch, its distinctive elongated tail feathers rendered in fine relief. The denomination legend is inscribed below the central motif, with a beaded border encircling the design along the inner rim. The composition conveys a naturalistic, detailed engraving style characteristic of Franklin Mint collector issues of this period. |

Belize gained independence from Britain in 1981, but this series began circulating six years earlier when the country was still British Honduras — a colonial name dropped precisely because it privileged the adjacent Honduran republic in international correspondence. The Central Bank itself was established only in 1982, meaning the issuing authority named on these coins did not technically exist for much of the series run. That administrative curiosity makes the earlier dates worth distinguishing from the final 1981 strikes.
