Opmerkingen

Sarawak's fractional currency occupied an awkward niche: the territory's coinage was perpetually undersupplied, and low-denomination paper filled the gap in a way that most Southeast Asian administrations avoided. The 1919 series was authorized under the rule of Charles Vyner Brooke, the third and last White Rajah, though the practical machinery of issue ran through the Treasury rather than any central banking structure.

George Gillan served as Treasurer during this period. His signature appears on several denominations across the Brooke-era fractional issues, making signed specimens useful for narrowing issue windows within the broader series.
