| 备注 |
Passanant is a village in the Conca de Barberà comarca of Tarragona — small enough that its wartime paper money amounts to genuine local emergency scrip. During the Spanish Civil War, the Republican zone suffered chronic small-change shortages after silver coins were hoarded and melted, forcing even the most minor municipalities to print their own fractional notes. Passanant's issue, at the 25 céntimos denomination, was purely practical: buying bread, settling small debts, keeping local commerce moving when nothing else would.
A. Figueres in Tàrrega printed emergency scrip for dozens of these Catalan municipalities during 1937, producing short runs that rarely survived the war in any quantity.
