La Zaida is a small agricultural municipality on the Ebro river in Zaragoza province. During the Civil War, large sections of Aragon fell under anarcho-syndicalist control, and dozens of collectivized villages issued their own emergency scrip when coin disappeared from circulation entirely. This 25 céntimos piece is one of those hyperlocal instruments — issued by the workers' collective, not any banking authority, and valid only within the village economy.

The Garicoinspain reference number is incomplete, which is typical for the smaller Aragonese collectives; many of these issues survive in tiny quantities and remain poorly catalogued.
