备注

La Guardia — now known as Guarromán — issued this note during the Spanish Civil War period, when the Republican government's decree of September 1936 authorized municipal councils to produce small-denomination emergency paper money to address the acute shortage of fractional coinage that followed the outbreak of hostilities. Hundreds of Spanish municipalities did the same, but survival rates vary enormously by locality, and notes from smaller Jaén towns are considerably scarcer than those from provincial capitals.

The Gari Montaner cataloguing remains the primary reference for these Spanish Civil War municipal emissions, though attribution and rarity assessments were compiled under considerable constraints given how many issues were poorly documented at the time.
