| Obverse description | Brown letterpress note with a guilloche underprint in light green at centre. At left, the coat of arms of Catalonia — the four red bars on a yellow field — set within an escutcheon and framed by an olive branch wreath; below, a circular cartouche bearing the numeral '25 CENTIMS'. The issuer's name appears in a framed panel at top, the face value 'VINTICINC CENTIMS' in large bold lettering to the right, and below it the legend 'REINTEGRABLE A LA CAIXA MUNICIPAL'. Two facsimile signature lines for 'L'ALCALDE' and 'EL DIPOSITARI' appear at centre-right, with a mandate inscription along the lower margin. |

Gramenet del Besòs — now Santa Coloma de Gramenet — was a heavily industrialized municipality on Barcelona's northern fringe, and its wartime municipal scrip belongs to the vast ecosystem of emergency small-change notes that proliferated across Republican Catalonia after 1936, when metallic coin effectively vanished from circulation. The Generalitat never fully centralized this process; individual ajuntaments printed their own, resulting in hundreds of distinct local issues.
Indústries Gràfiques Piulats was a genuine Barcelona commercial printer active during the period, not a phantom credit.
