Commenti	El Palau d'Anglesola is a small municipality in the Pla d'Urgell comarca of Lleida, and this 25 céntimos emergency note is a product of the fractional currency crisis that gripped Republican-held Catalonia from 1936 onward. Small-denomination coins effectively vanished from circulation — hoarded, melted, or simply absent — forcing hundreds of Catalan ajuntaments to issue their own paper fraccions de pesseta. By 1939, when this note was produced, the Republic was collapsing; Barcelona fell in January of that year. Turró 1757 places it among the latest wave of municipal emissions, printed on card stock rather than banknote paper — a telling sign of what was available at the time.
