Opmerkingen

Cabrera d'Anoia is a small municipality in the Alt Penedès comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of Catalan and Spanish towns, it issued its own fractional emergency currency — moneda local — during the Civil War after the banking system collapsed and small coins vanished from circulation almost overnight in 1936. These municipal issues were produced under drastically varying conditions: some by proper printers, others on whatever card stock the local council could source.

Turró catalogues this as #556, placing it within the broader documented corpus of Catalan war-period locals. At 55 × 34 mm on thick paper or card, it sits at the smaller, more crudely produced end of the series.
