Beschrijving voorzijde Red letterpress note divided into two circular vignettes separated by olive branches: the left medallion bears a stylized coat of arms of the Spanish Republic, while the right medallion displays the face value. The overall layout is spare and typographic in character, consistent with wartime municipal emergency issues.

Opmerkingen

Beniarrés is a village in the comarca of El Comtat, Valencia, with a population that barely exceeded a thousand during the Civil War years. Like hundreds of other Republican municipalities cut off from reliable coin supply after 1936, the local council issued its own fractional paper currency — a direct consequence of hoarding that stripped small denominations almost entirely from circulation within months of the military uprising.

Tipografía Lucentum was an Alicante commercial printer, not a security printing house. The designer credit to A. Marco almost certainly refers to a local commercial artist rather than a specialist engraver.
