| 备注 |
Beguda Alta is a tiny municipality in the Alt Penedès comarca of Catalonia, and this 25 céntimos note is a product of the vales system that proliferated across Republican-controlled Spain during the Civil War. When the coinage shortage became acute after 1936, agricultural cooperatives and local syndicates began issuing their own emergency scrip — technically illegal under central government statutes but tolerated out of sheer necessity. The Sindicat Agrícola de Beguda Alta was among hundreds of such bodies that stepped in where the Republic's monetary infrastructure simply collapsed.
The thick card stock construction is typical of locally produced Catalan vales, where proper banknote paper was unavailable and printers worked with whatever commercial stock they could source.
