备注

Andújar's wartime municipal notes are among the more obscure emissions of the Spanish Civil War's local paper money explosion. The Republican-held town in Jaén province issued fractional céntimos notes in 1937 largely because the hoarding of metallic coins — a near-universal phenomenon on both sides of the conflict — had stripped everyday commerce of any usable small change. These municipally printed pieces filled that gap with no central authorization, no standardized format, and wildly variable print quality across the issuing towns of the region.

The Gari Mon reference places this in a well-documented but thinly collected series. Andújar itself was far enough from the front lines to maintain civil administration through 1937, which is precisely why notes like this got made and used rather than simply printed and abandoned.
