| Obverse description | Central field features a large six-pointed star (Seal of Solomon) filled with intricate Arabesque foliate scrollwork, surrounding a central round hole. The star design is rendered in high relief with elaborate interlaced vegetal ornamentation within each of its six triangular points and central hexagonal body. The legend 'EMPIRE CHERIFIEN' arcs across the upper portion of the coin in Latin script, while an Arabic inscription appears along the lower rim. The border is decorated with a raised beaded or rope-like rim enclosing the design. |
