| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized royal monogram of King Léopold III rendered as an interlocking geometric device, composed of bold angular lines forming a cruciform or compass-rose pattern, pierced at the center by a circular hole approximately 3.5 mm in diameter. A royal crown surmounts the monogram at the top of the design. The date of issue is inscribed along the lower rim in large numerals. The overall design is austere and geometric, reflecting the wartime austerity aesthetic imposed on Belgian coinage of this period. |
