Obverse description The obverse displays the central design of Nicaragua's national arms: five volcanic peaks rising from the sea, with a radiant sun emerging from behind the mountains at upper left, its face visible in relief. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border. The legend EN DIOS CONFIAMOS arcs along the upper periphery, while 25 CENTAVOS DE CÓRDOBA is inscribed along the lower left and right fields, separated by raised dots. The overall composition reflects the engraving style characteristic of Philadelphia Mint trial pieces of the early twentieth century.
