Reverse description The reverse presents the historic coat of arms of the Lima Mint within a circular inner border, depicting a fortified castle flanked by two crowned towers rising from stylized waves, with the motto 'PLVS VLTRA' on a scroll across the center and the mintmark 'P' above. The word 'LIMA' is inscribed in an arc above the arms within the inner circle, and the founding and commemorative dates '1565' and '1965' appear in the field to either side. The circumferential legend 'CUATRICENTENARIO DE LA FUNDACION DE LA CASA DE MONEDA' runs around the full outer periphery of the coin.
