| Obverse description | The Dominican Republic national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a cross, crossed lances and flags, a Bible, and a laurel branch, all without a memorial legend. The shield is flanked by an olive branch to the left and a palm frond to the right. A ribbon above the shield bears the national motto in three parts, reading DIOS, PATRIA, and LIBERTAD, while a lower ribbon inscribed REPUBLICA DOMINICANA completes the heraldic composition. The entire device is surrounded by a finely reeded border. |
