Reverse description The right-facing bust of Juan Pablo Duarte, founding father of the Dominican Republic, is prominently rendered in high relief at the center of the field. The denomination 25 CENTAVOS appears above the portrait, flanked by ornamental stars, while the coin's weight expressed as 6 1/4 GRAMOS is inscribed below, also flanked by stars. The date of issue is positioned at the lower portion of the reverse field beneath the weight legend.
