| 背面描述 | A left-facing bust of a Maya woman wearing a traditional woven headdress and indigenous dress fills the left and central field, her portrait rendered in a bold, slightly stylized relief. The numeral 25 appears to the right of the bust, with the curved legend CENTAVOS arcing along the lower portion of the field. A beaded border encircles the entire design, consistent with the obverse treatment. |

Guatemala's 1971 monetary reforms consolidated several smaller denominations and introduced nickel brass alloys across the mid-range fractional coinage, a shift driven largely by the rising cost of silver in the late 1960s. The Banco de Guatemala had abandoned silver in its smaller denominations years earlier, but the 1971 series formalized the transition across the board.
The six-year span of this type reflects stable production rather than any reissue or redesign event.
