Opis awersu	The obverse displays the Dominican Republic's national coat of arms at center, comprising a quartered shield bearing a cross, open Bible, and crossed lances and flags, all rendered in fine detail. The shield is flanked on the left by an olive branch and on the right by a palm frond, both extending vertically. A ribbon above the shield carries the national motto DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD in raised Latin letters, while a second scrolled ribbon below bears the legend REPUBLICA DOMINICANA. The overall composition is engraved in a formal heraldic style with finely modeled relief against a polished field.

Opis rewersu	The reverse features a left-facing bust of a young indigenous woman, representing Liberty, adorned with a feathered headdress inscribed LIBERTAD across the headband and large circular hoop earrings. Her hair is styled in a braided plait tied with a ribbon, and she wears a fringed collar necklace. The engraver's initials HP (for Thomas Humphrey Paget) appear below the truncation. The denomination 25 CENTAVOS arcs along the left periphery and 6 1/4 GRAMOS along the right, with the date flanked by two five-pointed stars at the bottom of the field.
