Obverse description Central device depicts a stylized linden tree (lipa) with prominent leaves rendered in relief, set within a beaded inner circle. The date 1941 appears in the lower field flanking the trunk of the tree. The circular legend reads NEZ · DRŽ · HRVATSKA, an abbreviation for Nezavisna Država Hrvatska (Independent State of Croatia), with the engraver's initials I K positioned within the legend. The overall design is characteristic of Ivo Kerdić's refined medallic style.
