Obverse description	Central device comprises the gilt coat of arms of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, depicting a spread eagle with wings displayed, bearing a shield on its breast charged with a stylised mountain landscape and traditional motifs, set against a radiate background and flanked by sprigs of wheat and vine. The circular legend in Armenian script reading ԼԵՌՆԱՅԻՆ ՂԱՐԱԲԱՂԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ ԱՐՑԱԽ (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Artsakh) arcs around the upper portion of the arms. The date 1998 appears in the upper field, and the denomination 25000 is inscribed below the central device. The fineness mark 999 appears to the right, and the denomination in Armenian ՔՍԱՆՀԻՆԳ ՀԱԶԱՐ ԴՐԱՄ arcs along the lower rim, all rendered in gold against a dark mirror proof field.
