| Obverse description | Central field displays the national coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, depicting a leopard head facing front flanked by two crossed elephant tusks and two spears, set upon a plinth inscribed PAIX. The motto words JUSTICE and TRAVAIL appear on the tusks. The country name REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO curves along the upper border in raised Latin lettering, with the denomination 240 FRANCS inscribed along the lower border. The design is executed in high relief against a proof mirror field, bordered by a fine beaded rim. |
