Obverse description Quartered coat of arms of the County of Lippe displayed within an elaborate baroque cartouche, surmounted by a jewelled Electoral-style crown. Two rampant lions serve as heraldic supporters flanking the shield on either side. The mintmaster's initials I.H. and the fractional value 2/3 appear in a cartouche at the base of the design. The circumferential Latin legend names the issuing ruler and his titles, separated by rosette and dot stops.
