| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the elaborately quartered Royal Arms of Great Britain, surmounted by a large crown with cross finial, the shield supported by foliate mantling on either side. The multi-quartered escutcheon bears the arms of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Hanover, rendered in fine relief. A circular legend in Roman capitals runs along the outer border, reading GEORGIVS IV D.G. REX BRITANNIAR, identifying George IV as king by divine grace. The overall composition is formal and heraldic in character, consistent with the style of German princely coinage of the early nineteenth century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field prominently displays the large numeral '24' above the two-line denomination inscription MARIEN / GROSCH, with the date below flanked by decorative quatrefoil ornaments, and the mintmaster's initials C.V.C. beneath. Two small rosette ornaments flank the numeral '24' at either side. A continuous circular legend in Roman capitals surrounds the central design, reading TVTOR. NOM. CAROLI DVCIS BRVNS. ET LVN. and FEINES SILBER, denoting the regency of Karl Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and attesting the fine silver content of the coin. The overall layout is clean and typographic, characteristic of North German subsidiary coinage of the early nineteenth century. |
