Obverse description Draped bust of Duke George Rudolf facing right, depicted in armour with a lace collar, his hair loose and beard prominent. The effigy is rendered in a bold, slightly crude style characteristic of early 17th-century Silesian hammered coinage. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, reading D.G. GEO. RVD. DVX. SIL. LIG. BREGE., identifying the ruler by name and his ducal titles over Silesia, Liegnitz, and Brieg. The inscription is divided by pellet stops throughout.
