Obverse description Central field occupied by a heart-shaped heraldic shield divided per pale, displaying the Anhalt eagle to the left and a quartered cross motif to the right, the whole surmounted by a crested helm with elaborate mantling issuing from the top. The shield is encircled by a rope-twist inner border, with the peripheral Latin legend reading MONET PRINCIP ANHAL arranged around the circumference. The hammered flan exhibits an irregular edge characteristic of early seventeenth-century German coinage production.
